If you're looking for affordable yet relatively healthy food, I'd say the Safeway deli counter is the best option around here. One of the menu items I often get is a large pack of 8 chicken pieces for just $9.99.
Besides that, they offer a variety of hearty and healthy options at reasonable prices, and they regularly run promotions that allow you to buy various items even cheaper.
If you're a Safeway member, you can sometimes get up to 50% off during these promotions.
However, there are times when the chicken has a strange smell, which makes me wonder if they sometimes use older chicken.

Safeway is one of the supermarkets where I do my grocery shopping often. They have reasonable prices, good quality, and good customer service. This Safeway on Arden Way is one of the Safeway near my work. So shop this Safeway many times.

The store is beautiful and clean. The employees here are very friendly and willing to help. I can park my car safely with all the security guards patrolling the parking lot.

Very disrespectful. I was questioned when I returned some groceries and told I was not allowed to return items and if I did i had to wait 2 weeks for them to file paper work on the return. I asked to speak to a manager and luckily he had seen me come in and purchase the items or she said I would have had to wait. I've never in my 38 years of shopping at safeway heard of this procedure. I'll definitely never be going back to any safeway. I've never felt so disrespected and accused of basically stealing items from there store.....

A little expensive. Especially on certain items. However they have what I want, Always. Good bakery. Good produce. The florist does good, too. There was a long line and they quickly opened another register. Good going!

This is the best Safeway I've been to so far. They had all the items I needed. The staff and even the security guard were very nice. My Safeway club card worked for the first time in 3 years. The staff were not upset about me using it, as some Safeways have been in other locations. So thank you to the staff especially Aenoy. Who was very nice and very helpful in making sure I was logged in to get the member prices. And thank you to corporate Safeway for hiring such wonderful, helpful and kind staff. It is really appreciated to walk in with a smile and leave with an even bigger one! Stay Happy ?

I’d come by every few days or so to grab a few things at this Safeway. The thing is they always have only one door open to enter. I got used to that so I’d park near the door that was open. Then they opened the other door and closed the one that was always open. Super annoying, honestly I’m shopping at smart and final from now on. Either keep both open or be consistent with it….

Safeway substituted a 3.15 lb rib roast for the 15-19 lb rib roast I had ordered. Despite the scheduled pickup time of 10 am on Easter Sunday, I received an email notification of delay only 5 minutes after the appointed time. Upon arriving to inquire about the delay, the staff provided multiple excuses for their inability to fulfill the order. The meat department claimed they hadn't received the expected shipment, while the customer service department cited the limitation of their scales, asserting they couldn't handle such a large quantity of meat. Notably, when I initially placed the order, I had specifically called the meat department and spoken to the meat cutter to confirm their ability to fulfill an order of 15 to 19 lbs, and they assured me they could accommodate it. However, they failed to mention any issues with scale capacity, which the meat cutter would have been aware of.

Never shopping here again. Our car was in the shop so we ordered delivery. They give a delivery window. About an hour after it was supposed to deliver, we received email notice that the order was “delayed” and we would be contacted when it updated again. Stayed up till midnight. Finally called the store and learned everyone had gone home and the order was rescheduled (no window giving). Called the next day, they tell us the order is stuck pending and to “just place a new one.” They said they would cancel and we would see the money back in “30min to 24hrs.” Several days later now and we still haven’t seen the money. They have over $100 of ours, with no guidance as to when we’ll see it again. They just want us to trust them and keep spending more money. Fix your system and train your employees. We’re lifelong customers and we’re moving on.
