I hired Seth to help me build a shop on the back of my garage. More accurately, I was helping him, since I relied heavily on his experience and craftsmanship. I appreciated that he was willing to let me work alongside him, both because I enjoy doing the work and it helped keep down the cost. Seth is a skilled carpenter and problem solver, and he kept me from making some rookie mistakes. He is a hard worker, and he got the job done pretty quickly and before the weather turned bad. We should have had a clearer discussion about his pricing up front, but the end result was excellent, and I would hire him again.

I hired Seth and his team to replace the soffit and fascia for my whole house, a pretty big project. There were some areas where the siding was rotted, which he also replaced. My original siding is smooth and the ones he bought was textured and he sanded it down to match. I appreciate the level of detail he put into the project. He also ended up rebuilding a deck due to some of the rotten wood that was found. The whole project lasted around 2 weeks and I really appreciate his team cleaning up the area each day.

Seth was extremely communicative and kept my informed on the progress and what was found. I had some minor projects that came up, which included replacing some wooden steps.

I would definitely hire Seth and his team again to do any future projects I have.

Seth and his team put new siding on my home. He was there working with his team and directing the work effort. I had Seth do a few extra jobs that included a new door, new window and new posts for the covered patio. He stuck to his word and came through with the work. His work quality and finishing was very very good, his knowledge of siding, home construction is excellent. He is a man you can trust. I highly recommend his work.

Seth at SBJ Contracting, did excellent work on several projects as a part of our house upkeep and upgrades:
- Built a large wood/composite deck with redwood/wire railing
- Built a wood/composite patio with redwood pergola
- Put a new Hardie siding, trim and soffit/fascia on the house with wood (cedar) accents
- Stabilized the original weight-bearing structure under the house extension
- Installed new windows and doors
- Renovated the shed with rough cut wood and sliding doors
- Rebuilt the fence in the back yard with two double gates
- Leveled the back yard, installed the weed barrier and cover a large area with river rock
- Built patio for the camper
- Made a gravel parking spot next to the driveway
- Installed water runoff system such that gutters drain in the ground and way from the house
On every project, Seth brought good design ideas and practical options for us to consider. He did all the work with great craftsmanship, while paying close attention to details. Seth completed projects quickly and at the resonable cost. He shared project plans and process with us in a timely manner, and he is honest and fair about all work and details.
We received compliments on our house’s new look from our neighbors and friends.
We highly recommend Seth and plan to engage him in our upcoming/future projects.

Seth replaced a border fence between us and a neighbor three years ago. He was friendly, his work was excellent, he paid close attention to detail and meeting our needs. We subsequently hired him to build some custom shelves of beetle-kill wood, and replace another very large stretch of fence that blew down in the December windstorm. We recommend him highly and will definitely engage him for future work.
