Karl was very helpful. Put a new chain on my bike in just a few minutes, although I did have to put up with consistent dad jokes for the duration of my stay. He even totally botched the set up of a classic joke, but I guess that doesn’t have anything to do with bikes. After he put the chain on, I noticed a little squeak from the tire rubbing on the rear fender, and when I came back he fixed it in 1 minute for no charge. If you’re in the mood for some witty banter and to have your bike fixed quickly go here, otherwise steer clear.

The bike shop itself is nice, however we called a day ahead for two large Kona MTB rentals for a ride up to lost lake. The shop assured us we were good to go and had set the bikes aside (this was not the case) . After arriving the rentals were at the agreed upon rate ($125) no issue here. The issue arose with the quality and accuracy of the rentals. Both bikes were ill maintained, slipping gears, worn pedals (causing pedal strikes), unlubed chains so they hopped skipped and squeaked the 26 mile ride. Additionally the bikes were never fitted for us so we had to do all the fitment and maintenance to get them to be rideable. Oh and the two larges turned out to be a MEDIUM and a large. We didn’t find out it was a medium until we got 5 miles from the shop. I’m 6’1 and a medium doesn’t cut it. No refunds were issued for the incorrectly sized, unmaintained, squeaky bikes. No effort was made to apologize or correct the blunder.

My recommendation is to use discretion at this shop for rentals and rent from somewhere in Anchorage. Or, buy a bike bag and fly with your bike. Save yourself $133.75 (with tax) and $20 for a bear spray rental.

Amazing experience renting e-bikes and biking to Exit Glacier. The owner of the shop was super cool, super nice and he had great suggestions for us.We are a long way from home (NYC), but if we ever return to Seward, we will rent from here again!

We just showed up out of the blue 🟦 on a rainy day and they were able to equip us with 6 bikes 🚲 for our group. The conditions of the bikes themselves weren't great, but everything else more than made up for it!! It was only $25 per person for more than a half day of biking - this was like the only inexpensive thing on our AK trip. We also could've gone longer if we wanted to - they were very flexible 🤸 and said we could even bring the bikes back after closing time 🕕and lock 🔐 them up ourselves!

10/10 would recommend!! I rented a mountain bike here and Carl was amazing. He had my bike ready when I arrived, was super friendly, and even stayed a few minutes late so I could drop it off. The bike and helmet were in great shape and I was very happy with the quality. I would go here again given the chance. If you need a bike, definitely get it from here.

I took a high end full suspension e-bike in for a mastercyclinder replacement. Not your normal task for a shop that doesn’t normally deal with this sort of thing. The repair was done promptly, professionally and for half of what shop in anchorage would have charged.
