Called for roof repair on a Friday, they said they would be out Wednesday to look at the roof. Tuesday when I called to confirm they indicated that they had no available time or resources to help. Would have been nice to know that on Friday so we did not waste our time waiting. Roof is leaking and is a priority repair for us leading into winter.

My father in-law recommended that I call Shaw Renovation & Construction for some work that my wife and I were considering at our home. Shaw had replaced the shingles on his roof and the vinyl siding on his house in Airdrie, after a hail storm. He was very impressed with their work and suggested that I call them. Last July, I had Jonathan out to our house to discuss a new garage, some fencing and a deck that we wanted to build. We talked about our requirements for the garage, vehicle sizes for parking, storage and work area, an 8ft overhead door to accommodate our ski box, and what we wanted to achieve with a new deck. Jonathan was the only contractor that discussed the height of the garage door with us. He thoroughly explained the city bylaws, the garage building process, and provided several options for the deck shape and materials. We had Shaw Renovation & Construction built a new 24x24 garage, a trex composite deck and a brown treated fence. Jonathan and Simon kept us well informed throughout the different stages of the project. All of the work was completed in a timely fashion, and the finished product is excellent. We felt very comfortable with Jonathan and are really happy with the work that Shaw Renovation & Construction has done for us.

I have used Shaw construction for 35 years and have had several roofs completed. My son had his done last year. John Shaw and Jonathan Shaw are amazing and always go above and beyond for their clients. Most recently I called Jonathan Shaw for his help. I had a leak in my bathroom from two extraction fans that were installed by my contractor last year. My contractor was out of town at the time. Jonathan responded right away, came over to take a look. Sure enough they were not installed properly. He took some pictures and told me what was needed to fix the issue. He provided good advice and instructions with pictures and recommended different vents as the ones installed were not the best for Alberta climate. This gave me the knowledge I needed to pass along to my contractor. New vents have been installed. Jonathon will take a look to make sure it’s done right this time. Thank you immensely Jonathon for helping me. You are the best.

John and Jonathan Shaw have worked for me several times on both my own home and on a rental property. They have re-roofed both houses, installed new windows at the rental property, and built a double garage at my home. This past summer, they completed a full exterior renovation at my own home, including new windows, new front entry door system, new eaves and gutters, James Hardie siding and a new deck. Shaw redid the roof on my house about five years ago and did a great job. Their service was great. A small piece of sealant came away during a storm a few months later and within a day they’d sent someone to fix it.

In December of 2018 I contacted Jonathan Shaw about building a garage on a pad that I had already had built. He came out to take a look and provide a quote right away. We had some discussions about the approach and after giving the go ahead he set to work on it with his crew. They completed the the garage quickly with excellent workmanship. I’m very happy with the results.

I have had Shaw Construction work for many times.I first hired Phil about 10 years ago to re-roof my home,that I had just purchased.A few years later,i had Shaw demolish a single car garage and build a new double car garage in the rear yard. Two years ago,I called Jonathon to help me with some window issues and to improve the appearance of my home.I had them complete an extensive exterior renovation.They replaced all the windows,the patio door ,and both entrance doors.They installed new aluminum soffits and gutters,remove the old wood siding and refinished with stone and smooth stucco.The renovation went very smoothly and greatly improved the appearance of my house The crews were friendly and showed obvious pride in their workmanship.Simon ,the foreman,has extensive construction knowledge ,he inspected the work regularly and kept me informed throughout the whole process.I have been very happy with all the work that Shaw Construction has completed for me

I used Shaw for both my roof, my deck and my garage. In general the work was completed in a timely manner. However within a year after the roof was built we noticed water on our skylight and they came back to fix it. Some more time goes by and I have water leaking again. They come back and fix the flashing around the skylight. The owners notice that the wood on my deck has bleached more then they wanted so told me the would look into the warranty for the wood. I texted/ called with the owner for the rest of the summer and he stated he never could get ahold of Lowes. Johnathon was hard to get ahold of for the second call in to fix the skylight leak stating he had spoken to my husband on my personal cell which isnt possible. Now with the recent rain i had water leaking through my bathroom vent. Enough i had to dump the water halfway through the night. So have called a third time to see if they can stand by their warranty.

Garage I have no complaints with, deck is fine. Some of the wood had split due to not being sealed through the winter but get lots of compliments on it.
