Absolute hack fraud, confused by hub gears, doesn't know a good brake pad from literal bare metal, and will lie to you to try to get you to pay for "repairs" you don't need when you just came in to buy a simple part.

I have been a satisfied customer for 20+ years ever since I bought my first mountain bike there- until yesterday. I am 65, retired, on a fixed income, and yesterday went to return a rim I had bought about a month ago for a friends son that was cycling from Salem to Tahoe through the Cascades and Sierras. The rim we purchased was the wrong size and because I have been back east for the last 3 weeks, was just now able to get back up there to return it. The 2 young men working there refused to accept the return even though the price tag was still on it. They were everything but accommodating and had every excuse- loss of inventory control, they claimed it was dirty, they even accused me of drilling out the hole for the stem valve. I told them I don't need the rim, don't want it, and if they would not give me cash could I at least get credit- NO! They all but accused me of trying to rip them off and lying to do it. It was insulting.
I have spent thousands of dollars at this store over the years and for a lousy $50 wheel they will never get any of my or my extended families business. I will also suggest to all my friends and acquaintances that they take their business to another bike shop. After all there are plenty in Ashland. To anyone who reads this- take your business elsewhere.

My experience with Jeff at Siskiyou Cyclery was awesome! from the very first phone call. I was ready to buy a bike and knew it was going to be a Specialized. Looking for a Specialized dealer in Ashland, I called Jeff at Siskiyou Cyclery to start a conversation. I was more than impressed with his knowledge of Specialized bikes, parts and service. Over the phone, he helped me select a great bike and offered suggestions on upgrades that would balance this bike to perfection. Jeff answered all of many questions patiently until I was comfortable and satisfied. When it came time to pick it up he took the time to make sure I was satisfied with the final trim. My experience with Jeff and Siskiyou Cyclery was well worth the drive from central coast California and BONUS!! my first ride was on Ashland Flow! Highly recommend Siskiyou Cyclery!

Was cycling out on the Greenway, my bike started having some issues. Stranger pulls up beside me and helped with some roadside mechanics. Ends up this gentleman was Ken, a mechanic from this shop. Super friendly and helpful! My experience speaks well to me of this store!

This shop has very friendly and knowledgable team who put customers first. I've bought two new Specialized bikes here and my brother has bought another and in each case their prices have been very competitive and service top notch! I highly recommend it.

The absolute best place in Ashland for all of your biking needs. I'm incredibly new to biking and have come in with some admittedly silly things that I've needed looked at but not once have I been made to feel as silly as I'm sure my problem was. The staff are great and knowledgable, and I never hesitate to stop by when I need a second opinion.

Earlier today My fiance I went out for a bike ride, and a few minutes in I noticed that my rear tire was starting to come apart at the seams. Not a big problem I figured, we will just go to a bike shop, get a new tire, change the tire in the shop, and head on with the ride. We walked into Siskiyou Cycles a few minutes later, wearing helmets and bike shoes, clearly in the middle of a bike ride. I bought a new tire, and then asked the guy at the counter if I could use a tire lever to install the tire I had just paid him for. (a tire lever, is piece of plastic is made in a giant factory in china, and probably costs about two pennies to produce) The guy at the bike shop told me that he could not loan me said two cent piece of plastic, because I might break it. I explained to him that I had spent over a decade of my life cycling competitively. He told me he was sorry, but it was shop policy to not loan any tools to anyone, but that I could probably use my fingers to change the tire instead of the tire lever. I asked him how much a tire lever cost. He told me it was $5. Again, this is a two inch long piece of plain molded plastic.
At this point we went outside into the damp February day to consider our options. My fiance found me a likely looking stick, and we went back into the warmth of the bike shop to try to change my tire using the stick instead of a tire lever. The guy behind the counter watched for several minutes while we sat on the floor, and tried to take my old tire off with the stick that kept breaking into smaller and smaller pieces. Finally he finally came up and offered to help us take the old tire off. He took my wheel from me, pulled the two cent tire lever out of his pocket, took the old tire off, then handed the wheel to me, and replaced the tire lever in his pocket.
This was progress, but we still had to put the new tire on, which (you guessed it) is a lot easier if you have a tire lever. So there we sat on the floor, his paying customers, trying to install the new tire we had just bought. We got if half way on, but the rubber was very stiff being a brand new, and we couldn’t get the last bit on the rim because (you guessed it) we didn’t have that wonderful two cent piece of plastic that was sitting in the bike shop guys pocket. After several more minutes of struggle, the guy came over again, took my wheel, and used his superior technology to finish installing the wheal.
Again, this was progress, but the tire still needed to be inflated. “Can a use your pump?” I asked, hoping against hope. “Sure” he says. So apparently while I might have broken the two-cent piece of plastic, the forty-dollar delicately engineered pump was fair game. That is what I call customer service.
