I needed some expert advice on my older Honda frame. Rick at Standard was referred to me. He took time out of his day to see me within the hour. He immediately noticed that my rear link had lost a bolt and replaced it on the spot so my car would be safe. We needed a better look at the car frame, so he made time for me early in the morning to get my car on his lift. He showed me where my car needed work and where it didn't. His kindness, expertise and flexibility earns him 5 stars in my book. What a great shop. Highly recommended.

Frame restoration Ford F150 4x4. These guys could not have been nicer or more professional in explaining what needed to be done to restore my frame after a collision. They were very kind in negotiating an out of pocket payment and they knew I was in a rental so my truck was ready 4 days early. I would use Standard again in a minute. When I left it says it all. The owner said "If you are not happy with our work, bring her back to us. We take care of our customers." That comment alone made me feel really good in a miserable situation. Rick was a great guy and helped us with a custom welding job that made our truck safe to drive. Rick went the extra mile and added reinforced steel where he could see it was needed in addition to what we knew needed to be done. Went in for frame work on my truck and from start to finish very professional, quality service. Not only was the welding work exception but the customer service was great! I don't know of my shops that answer the phone by your name everytime. Would definitely recommend.

My mechanic recommended them to look at safety of rusty trailing arm on my 1996 Prizm. A potentially "life-ending" problem. Called right from my mechanic's lot and Rick said I could come over and he'd look at it even though they were about to close. Showed me everything under my car so I'd see for myself and understand. Gave me honest advice---that the arm looked a lot worse than it was and would be safe for the time-frame I wanted (whew!), as well as helpful advice about where my money would be better spent to keep it running safely for the near future. Oh, and he didn't charge me a penny! Thank you Rick!

The salt used for melting snow/ice has really done damage to my truck over the past 17 years, and my mechanic had been concerned a few years ago that the structural integrity of the truck was a concern. I've brought my truck here twice for frame and plow mount reinforcing. The work that Standard Welding has done has given me at least an extra 5 years with the truck and plow. Given that a new truck ($35k) and a new plow ($8k) aren't insignificant, it's been well worth the work they've done. Most importantly, the guys at Standard Welding are honest. They give you a true assessment of what can be done (and what can't), a fair price, and rock-solid work. Two thumbs up!
