Extremely poor service. My husband is 81 years old and and I made an appointment for him with Dr. Starkey, his primary care physician who was due back from medical leave August 1st, 2024. The appointment was for August 5th at the Enfield office because he would not be at the usual Cromwell office when he returned. I drove an hour to get Glenn to the office for his appointment. We were on time but were informed that Dr. Starkey would not be back from medical leave until December. The woman at the counter said they tried to inform him that the appointment had to be cancelled, but they "could not get through on the phone". I asked if they only called his cell phone, and the woman said both phone numbers likely, but the voice mail was full. The other phone number is a landline -- THERE IS NO SUCH THING AS FULL VOICE MAIL ON A LAND LINE PHONE. And why would you not care that an 81 year old man did not get informed of an appointment cancellation!!!!!!!!!!!!! So we drove home. They did not offer another appointment option with another physician. NOW, I need a medication refilled, and I can't get that done either. The practice was bought recently, maybe last year? His prior office in Cromwell said they cannot help because once you go to the Enfield office you cannot come back to Cromwell.
HORRIBLE SERVICE, do not use this provider.

Due to an urgent issue discovered at the ER after an accident last week, I was scheduled to see Nichole Misiaszek today for the first time. She is wonderful! She answered every question, looked me in the eye as she spoke to me, with genuine intention, and care. I will gladly schedule with her again anytime! Thank you, Nicole!

As a patient seeking medical care, I recently visited Starling physicians with high hopes of receiving quality service and attention to my health concerns. However, my experience with their customer service left much to be desired.

From the moment I entered the office, I encountered a lack of courtesy and professionalism among the staff. One staff member in particular I would like to name is Kathy. Receptionists seemed disinterested and were unfriendly in their demeanor. Despite my attempts to engage politely, I was met with indifference and impatience.

Moreover, scheduling appointments proved to be an ordeal. The office displayed inefficiency in managing appointment times, leading to prolonged wait times and confusion among patients. On multiple occasions, I waited well beyond my scheduled appointment time without any explanation or apology from the staff.

Furthermore, the communication between the staff and patients was severely lacking. Important information regarding medical procedures, insurance coverage, and follow-up appointments was either unclear or omitted entirely. This lack of transparency only added to the frustration and stress of an already challenging situation.

EDITED TO ADD:
My son informed me when he turned 18 and asked for his medical files in order to switch the physicians, he was sent home with all of MY medical files. That should NEVERREEERRRR EVER BE HAPPENING!

Nicole has been great, but unfortunately myself along with many other friends of mine who are patients there are desperately searching for someone else to be our PCP. Not only do we wait an hour on the phone to be told to go to urgent care because they can't get us in for months, but I was hung up on three times because they didn't have the answers. I have a reoccurring prescription and every time I feel it it takes weeks before I get it. I had a prescription that should have been filled by October 1st. Now when I call to ask what is happening with it, nobody has any answers. They told me because I have missed appointments before that it's not a priority and I can wait until my upcoming appointment to straighten everything out. Even though this was a standing refill that I was due to receive 2 weeks ago. Then I was told that my physician is not in on Fridays so there's nothing they can do about it. Even though I've been calling over and over to get it straightened out and I refilled it on the date it was due to be refilled at the beginning of the month. They must not think we know that there should be physician on that is handling her patients while she's not out.

Starling Physicians has been the most horrendous, immoral and unethical practice I have had the displeasure of being treated under. For years I battled with lack of communication, long hold times for basic questions, hour-late appointments due to overbooking and understaffing and a terrible attitude from most staff. Despite being under Nicole’s care for years (I adore her and she is in no way a part of this issue-she was my provider when working for Fignar Family practice as well), I found out my primary provider was switched in the system without my consent and when the provider left I was dropped as a patient! I have had to see every provider in that internal medicine office because of the lack of staffing-not because I asked to have my provider permanently changed. And on TOP of that, starling went into my prescriptions through CVS and cancelled them all, leaving me without vital medication with no explanation or refills (even the pharmacist was flabbergasted!!!). I called and left a message with the administration/nursing supervisor and never got a call back-but this isn’t the first time that’s happened so I wasn’t surprised. I also had a tough time communicating when they sent me for an MRI that wasn’t first verified to be safe while pregnant or covered by my insurance before referring me.

I have multiple autoimmune diseases that could land me in the hospital at the drop of a hat. To be left without a primary care provider because a provider I saw *three times* (due to understaffing) left the practice is disturbing and unethical. My husband and sister in law are also in the same situation, but thankfully we’ve found providers who have heard of how poorly Starling is treating their patients and welcomed us into their practice.

Shame on you, Starling Physicians, for letting your loyal patients slip through the cracks. I am utterly disgusted and will continue to tell everyone I know to avoid your practice at all costs.

Stay away from the Enfield Branch Suboxone Program they may as well be confidential informants, and they talk to the police/probation officers.
On top of that, at least at the Enfield branch they commit insurance fraud, and they let their patients die. This is well-known just read the journal inquire, there are more than the one patient mentioned in the paper who died.
THEY DO NOT CARE ABOUT YOU!!!
STAY VERY FAR AWAY

Absolutely terrible place. Since becoming a patient my PC left the practice twice. The first time they were able to get me in with a new APRN who came to my preferred location. The second time they told me no drs in the office were taking new patients and I either had to drive 45 min to see a new dr in the practice or I’m on my own and need to find a whole new practice. I was dropped and considered a new patient after multiple years of care. I thought they would be more accommodating. It was either take or leave it and they couldn’t care less. I’m three months pregnant and have been left on my own for follow up care and RX refills. The woman who answers the phone, Kathy is extremely rude.
