Anyone rating a business because they can’t park in their very small, and very busy parking lot to shop the neighborhood should just be ignored. The fact is, this place is incredible.

The quality of the cuts and meat they produced on my elk is excellent. The check in process, and pick up process were absolutely seamless: just make sure you read and follow their directions.

Can’t thank you all enough! I’ll be back.

As a first time successful hunter, this was extremely pleasant and convenient. I’ve yet to actually eat anything cause I have it thawing, but I’m extremely satisfied with the packaging, and niceness of the employees!
I saw a lot of the negative reviews and could tell people were being babies and not reading drop off instructions, ignore those, follow the rules, and have an amazing experience coming here.
I live close and taking my animals here will become a tradition

Over the years I have taken my deer and elk to various places in Colorado and Wyoming. But none of them compares to Steve’s. You get quality work, with a wide selection of products. Lots of choices as to how you want your burger and specialty items. Not the cheapest but you get what you pay for. I spend too much time and money on the tags, the hunt, and everything else to be cheap on the processing. The service and people are great. And finally, when I take a big animal in, I know I’m going to get it all back. They are very diligent about not wasting meat so you end up with a lot. Ultimately, that is value for my money.

My family and I have been using Steve's meat market for many years . They have wonderful products. That is the only reason we have continued to come back. Most of the staff have been notoriously rude and seem inconvenienced by our presence. Our latest visit was the final straw. Upon arrival for pick up they have signs posted saying customer parking only with a 5 min limit. The time it took us to check out and load up took longer than 5 min. After loading up our meat there was only one other car in the lot so I took that opportunity to run to the bakery next door and grab a couple goodies for my family . I figured that after spending 800+ dollars this visit at Steves that nobody would mind if I stayed in the lot a couple extra minutes . Mind you there was only one other person in the lot leaving many open spots for incoming customers. After coming out of the bakery a Steve's employee was putting a big notice sticker on my window that was not easily removed . The sticker was a hazard for my vision for my 2 hour drive home .
I am aware I stayed in my spot a few more minutes then I was supposed to but number 1 they kept me in the store longer than 5 minutes and number 2 I DID NOT prevent anyone else from parking in their almost empty lot . Again , their product is always very good but customer service is usually a let down . I think we will search for another meat processing location that values their loyal customers a bit more.

Went to pick up my order and shared some feedback after missing pick up hours by 22 minutes that the process was less than simple. I was then met with surprising and unnecessary physical threats of violence as well as yelling and screaming and phallic gestures. Please consider that I fully understand staffing can be tough and that Steve’s is running light on staff which makes things harder for them (and for their customers). Super disappointing, I am more than happy to have a rational discussion with the owner and open to adjusting my review upon a discussion. I am not a fan of 1 star reviews but there needs to be corrective action for allowing such interactions with customers. Please consider that the customer is not always right however in this situation the Steve’s employees certainly did not react in even a slightly reasonable manner.
I do have a call from the manager who started out reasonable but it quickly became clear he was not interested in hearing “the other side” nor actually apologizing for his staffs unacceptable behavior.

Steve's meats gave me someone else burger meat.
I have been shooting deer and elk on my property for over 20 years. I never had a gamey nasty tasting animal from my property until I had it processed by Steve's.
I gave Steve's a calf elk and a doe last year. The meat I received back smells and tastes like it was shot out in the sage country. After having tasted somewhere in the realm of 80 animals harvested from my property and processing them all myself. I have come to the conclusion that Steve's gave me burger meat from other peoples animals. I will never be giving them my business again.

Their customer service is horrible, you feel like a cog in their production line. I was spoken to condescendingly and rudely for not understanding their new process as they rushed me through their shop. I was told to read my ticket 3 different times when I asked questions. Then we get to their 2hr pickup window, which is impossible to meet for a single dad with school age children. After 8 years as a customer I can no longer recommended Steve's meats. Find someone who cares about their customers.
