The only reason I'm giving them 5 stars is because I'm not allowed to give them 6. We had a wonderful experience with Wayne and Stocklin. They gave us a fair price, and when our construction was delayed by a year, even though their costs went up, they didn't jack up the price. They worked well with our general contractor, delivered the spiral staircase on time, and it's high quality and visually stunning. It's on the exterior of the house, connecting a ground-level deck to our roof deck, so everyone who walks by our house sees it and it's the sensation of the neighborhood. We love it.

We contracted for a 6' diameter 10' tall spiral staircase off our back deck to connect to our backyard and workroom. Stocklin Iron Works out of Santa Rosa crafted a beautiful one piece metal stair and as part of their options had a local paint shop powder coat the staircase to give a long durable finish, absolutely stunning. We could not be happier with the result. Communication with Wayne and Wayne jr was easy, responsive and on point. The install, which was part of the package was a pleasure to watch, manpower maneuvering a large piece of sculpture into place, fit perfectly by their measurements. A 5 star experience, in a space where few others seem to do this work start to finish.

Signed contract for a spiral staircase with 9 week lead time, $2750 deposit. Proprietor stopped answering calls after 6 weeks — lots of "will call you with an estimate tomorrow" voicemail run around. 9 weeks is up and no updated ETA has been given.

Now looking for other smiths and at ways to get my deposit back.
