I want to use this opportunity to thank Studio Shed and the installation team for such an excellent job of creating our office space. I have been impressed by the design and quality of the work and materials, plus Tim Fiske and his installation team were FANTASTIC!

Couple of things I appreciated about the experience
- responsiveness was A+ Whenever I had a question, Studio Shed responded within a few hours
- The team did a super job leaving the yard in great shape - not an easy feat after all the digging and foundation creation
- The construction was completed earlier than I thought (within 5 6 weeks of making the purchase and the quality of the work is excellent.
- plus the team was super adaptive in helping to accommodate our choices.

We love the design, inside and out, fixtures, lighting. It's a beautiful design that enhances our yard.

I can't recommend Studio Shed enough! The contractors they used were incredibly easy to work with and very professional. I moved out of my office space that I had been in for 21 years. They poured the concrete on a Thursday, and my new office was entirely finished by the following Thursday. I absolutely LOVE it!!!!

I spent years planning for and designing my craft studio. After a lot of shopping I decided to build my own from a Studio Shed kit. I'm not saying it was easy work and there was lots of learning but we did it! I got plenty of support from the Studio Shed crew.
The directions were clear and the materials are just about all there. The quality of the materials is good and any mistakes were mine. Well, a window was broken in shipment but Studio Shed took care of the repair.
I am very happy with my shed.

We love our Studio Shed !! The shed was installed over 4 years ago and is holding up extremely well, we haven’t had a single issue with it. What sold us on it in the first place was the beautiful modern design, the full custom aspect (the online configurator is a great tool), the interior package with hardwood floor, painted drywall with insulation, lights, power outlets, etc…, the option of getting everything installed by a local contractor and the price which we thought was very affordable for what we got. Dealing with Studio Shed was a breeze, they always responded to all our questions quickly and were very helpful throughout the entire process. We couldn’t be happier with our shed, everybody we’re showing it to loves it…

My experience with Studio Shed began positively, but unfortunately, it took a significant downturn after we paid in full. Initially, Studio Shed was very supportive with permitting and design, and we felt confident in their services. However, this confidence diminished once we settled the full payment for both the structure and the contractors.

Initial Experience: We purchased the Summit Series model from Studio Shed, which, at around 1,000 square feet, was their largest at the time. Up until the delivery of the structure, everything went smoothly. Studio Shed also provided us with contractors they deemed “highly recommended,” which we trusted given our good relationship with them.

Contractor Issues: The contractor, Cadre General Contractors, visited our property only twice. The first visit was for an initial assessment, and the second, which lasted less than 10 minutes, was in response to our concerns about the quality of the work.
When it came time for the siding installation, Cadre sent a worker who was unqualified and had no experience with Hardy Plank siding, despite the requirement for certification. We confirmed this directly with him and the Hardy Plank website. He occasionally brought along a friend to help. Since we don’t live on-site and the property is a 2-hour drive from Seattle, we didn’t see the siding until it was half-completed. Upon inspection, we noticed significant issues and reached out to Cadre General Contractors. They acknowledged the poor quality but only removed two panels before leaving the site for good, spending a mere 10 minutes there, as confirmed by our security cameras.

Studio Shed’s Response: After Cadre deemed the work acceptable and refused to address our ongoing concerns, we presented photos of the poor-quality work to Studio Shed. Unfortunately, Studio Shed refused to provide any support or acknowledgment of the issues. Despite our clear evidence to the contrary, they deemed the work acceptable and made no effort to rectify the problems, leaving us feeling ignored and unsupported.

Resolution Attempts: After realizing our recourse was limited due to having paid in full, we sought legal advice after exhausting all other avenues. A lawyer reviewed our contract and confirmed that pursuing legal action would be prohibitively expensive. Our attempts to communicate with both Cadre and Studio Shed through legal channels were ignored.

Recommendation: Given my experience, I strongly advise against paying Studio Shed in full before the work is completed. Instead, engage a trusted local contractor who has reviewed your plans thoroughly and avoid using Studio Shed’s recommended contractors. We felt taken advantage of after paying upfront, and Studio Shed’s response to the issues was disappointing. I would not recommend Studio Shed based on my experience. If you choose to proceed with them, pay only a minimum deposit and avoid their recommended contractors. Ensure that any contractor you work with is certified and experienced in the specific work required. I was shocked by the poor workmanship of Cadre General Contractors, and Studio Shed’s indifference was surprising. Additionally, I encourage you to have a lawyer review any contracts, as this might save you a lot of money in the long run. After dealing with the initial distress, we began meeting with local contractors to remove and replace the siding, and every single one was dismayed by the quality of the work.

Most Recent Updates: As previously mentioned, we consulted with six local contractors to assess the work and provide estimates for removing the siding, windows, and doors, and then replacing and reinstalling them correctly. After reviewing their past work, customer experiences, and cost, we selected the contractor that best met our criteria. We have accepted a bid of $37,000 to commence work in September 2024. Quotes from other contractors reached up to $60,000, and each contractor independently confirmed that the siding needed to be completely removed to ensure the job was done correctly.

Our studio shed experience was fantastic! From our visit to their factory, the shed design and the delivery and construction. We chose to finish the interior ourselves. I’m sure our capable crew would have done a great job there as well! Highly recommend!

Our 8x12 Studio Shed has been in use for about a month as a home office. I love it, and it looks perfect in the corner of our yard. We designed the product + lifestyle package with our rep Susan and ended up using our own GC for installation. Delivery was on time and our GC commented on how “fancy” the unit was. Thanks to Studio Shed for helping me to get my home office out of our master bedroom next to a baby crib and into a much more preferable (and professional) space!
