We hired Summerland to remodel the kitchen in our South Boulder home. Charlie and his crew were fantastic to work with throughout the process. We found them to be upfront and transparent on pricing, and the quality of the work was excellent. What set them apart, though, was how communicative Summerland was with us throughout the process. All house projects have their quirks and delays, and ours was no different. But Charlie handled all the permitting and inspections, and let us know exactly what was happening each and every day. He frequently consulted with us on all the matters we wanted to be kept up to speed on, and was available at almost all times which really makes a difference when you don't have a kitchen for a couple of months. The final piece for us was the quality of the work itself which was just plain excellent. Everything looks great, and Summerland made sure all the details were covered. We intend to use them in the future (once we put a dent in the accompanying HELOC), and would highly recommend Summerland for just about any major house project.

Charles is a great person to work with. He is reliable and honest. He strives to do the best possible job, paying attention to all the details. He cares for his clients and that makes it is easy to communicate with him. He did a few jobs for us (sidings of the house, kitchen, shower) and we have always been very satisfied with how he handled things. We are going to have him soon again to replace the floors.

Professionalism, honesty and great craftsmanship at its best!

When we first called Charlie we had just bought a house that needed a complete gut, so we asked him for a free quote on a variety of jobs we needed done. In the end we wound up using him for a number of different projects which included: framing, spray foam of the entire house (ceiling, upstairs and basement walls), complete bathroom addition, plumbing, pouring a shower pan, installing an over-sized tub, tiling and a few other projects, and to be honest we couldn't have been happier with the results.

Charlie clearly laid out the expectations from the very beginning, kept us up to date on all progress, finished on time and gave us a very competitive price. We've already recommended him to others and will continue to do so.

Charles and his team are 10/10. What started out with a simple "small" bathroom remodel, ended up being a full bathroom AND kitchen remodel. In our older home, we knew there could be issues from the previous owners who were DIY'ers (and just issues in general with older homes), and Charles was quick to find solutions to any issue that arose and got the job done all with a smile on his face. The outcome of both the kitchen and the bathroom superseded our expectations. If you're looking for a bathroom or kitchen remodel, I wouldn't hesitate for a minute recommending Charles and his crew.

Charles Summerland, owner of Summerland Construction and Summerland Insulation, removed our existing insulation in
the attic and then installed spray foam insulation into our attic.

Charlie and his wife were super helpful with my decision making process about my project. They came up with several concepts and provided me with different pricing options to choose from. They answered any and all questions patiently. After I selected an option we scheduled the project and estimated timeline. I am very happy with the outcome. They did a great job. We couldn't be happier with the porch railing that Charles installed for us. Safety was our first priority as well as having an attractive porch that adds to the curb appeal of our home. He went above and beyond our expectations. We will definitely use Summerland Construction again for any future needs.
