Fantastic fellow to work with! We hired Dennis to saw up a massive tree into boards and he did a great job. He was very responsive for questions and scheduling. He was also very punctual and gave a reasonable estimate. He went and sawed up around 1500 sq. ft of boards total and was easy to work with during the process. I would highly recommend him to anyone looking to get limbs/logs sawn into boards!

Excellent Sawyer. There is nothing more satisfying then seeing your logs turn into beautiful lumber. Dennis is a true professional and delivers a high quality product. This was my second time using Dennis and its apparent that milling is addictive. You won't be disappointed! I'm already thinking of when I can have Dennis back without my wife divorcing me. Excellent service. My initial emails were answered very completely and quickly. His service charges were clear and detailed. Dennis turned up exactly on time and sawed my logs quickly and efficiently. The price was very reasonable and I would use him again.

Just had 1000+ board/ft of lumber sawn from trees I felled on my property. Dennis provided an accurate estimate, charged reasonable travel time to Putnam CT, showed up (to the minute) when he said he would, worked a full day and quickly and accurately sawed beautiful lumber from a complex variety of less-than-perfect logs without once complaining about the tens of millions of violently angry, biting red ants that inhabited the piles of wood. He hit 3 nails, but only charges me for 2 blades, and (reluctantly) offered advice on the best use and most lucrative cuts from the timber I had. At the time of this review, Dennis only has 1 other Google review, at 1 star. I have to assume that this is related in some way to the fact that Dennis is kind of an ahole. Ok, fair enough. He is a bit of a di. He's frequently impatient, and, at times, condescending. With that said, I'd posit this question to my fellow reviewer: at a *not insignificant* hourly rate, would you rather have a friend who cares deeply about your feelings, or a dude who promptly and accurately saws lumber at a location that's convenient for you, at a price that's fair?

Dennis was terrific. He was extremely knowledgeable, prompt, and courteous with reasonable rates. He live edge sawed a ton ( actually 4 tons by our calculations) which we stickered and hence used. Will use him again in a heartbeat.
