Had a consultation scheduled for today at 10:30. Nobody showed up. I reached out around 11 and 12:30. I didn't get a response or a reason for the no show.

I have been very happy with their maintenance and response time. I have always been able to speak with someone at their company when I called regarding questions or service needs. Richard Charles is the rep who covers the maintenance of my rather complicated septic system and he does a great job. He has maintained and repaired the system efficiently and expertly. He is very professional.

Buyer BEWARE!!! Professional con-artists! Currently being investigated on multiple levels of fraud and embezzlement. Mom & Pop shop that "robs Peter to pay Paul". Don't get caught up in their scam as we did! We lost tens of thousands of hard earned dollars to them and it took over 2 years to finish our home after a legal battle! We had to fire them and re-hire a new contractor! A total nightmare! They have no clue how to build a home!!! Subs do not respect them and don’t want to work with them! They have a history of unpaid debt!

Oh my goodness. Firstly, do not trust these 5 star Google reviews. One of them was posted by the owner herself! I would wager the positive reviews were posted by family and friends--not actual customers. Secondly: D and S GCTX, aka Texas Hill Country Construction, are everything you would imagine when you hear about horror contractor stories. They present themselves as "Good, honest, God-fearing, hardworking, Christian contractors; but once you give them your money, best of luck to you! After paying them over $48,000, it took over 6 months (contract stated 30 days to completion) for my small project to be as done as I can hope for it to be. Two separate sub crews abandoned the job two separate times. Workmanship is shoddy and I have zero confidence in the longevity of the build. The shingles where the old roof meets the new roof do not even lay flat. That is going to cause massive problems down the road and cost me additional money to get corrected. Incompetence, I think, is the word I am looking for here. They'll tell you their work is covered by a warranty and they back it all up, but said warranty is only as good as the contractor. After my experience with them, why in the world would I ever want them anywhere near me or my house again? Even if it is to "correct" their shoddy work free of charge? If the contractor is bad from the get-go, then the warranty is useless. HVAC was specifically listed in the contract, but they failed to complete this item (and I have since learned that they had lied to me about why they were not doing HVAC at the time: they said my unit did not have the capacity and output to handle the addition. This was a flat out lie. I have had a certified HVAC technician come out and look at the unit and provide a quote to add the addition. He says the unit is fine and has plenty of room and output to handle the addition. But because of the shoddy construction work of TXHCC, it is going to be expensive and extremely difficult--if not impossible--to add the vents and ducts. The attic of the addition was not built properly and there is not enough room for even a tiny person to crawl in there and install the equipment). As such, I refused to pay them the measly contract balance of $2,400 (HVAC alone will cost much more than this amount). I always dealt with the woman (S), but the moment I informed her I would not be paying the balance as they had not completed HVAC and went back on their promise of me saving money off the contract price by painting myself, she immediately had the man (D) start messaging me in a menacing and threatening manner, trying to intimidate me into paying them. They then sued me in small claims court (in violation of the contract, which has an Alternative Dispute Resolution Clause), for more than double this amount, claiming the theft of materials I paid for (and they had abandoned in my yard for months with no protection, allowing them to be rained and stepped on indiscriminately), and the "completion" of work that was never completed--like reinstalling my old gutters that are still sitting in my yard. They also added an additional charge for an item that was specifically listed in the contract. Their completely frivolous and baseless suit is merely an attempt to harass and intimidate me into just backing down and paying them more than they are owed (let alone deserve). I wonder how many other unsuspecting homeowners they have scammed liked this. Adjectives like "unprofessional," "untrustworthy," "dishonest," and "Bad Faith" do not even come close to describing the devious duplicity of this couple.
