I have a few fond memories of this church, but sadly the bad ones outnumber the good. This church is a gossip mill first, and a church second. Everyone knows about everyone, and if by chance you visit and are dressed a certain way, have piercings/tattoos, or are simply not talkative; you are the subject of that day. Now not everyone was like this, I met some genuinely amazing people and families(you know who you are). The kindness and support we were shown as kids entering a new societal change was truly appreciated. On the other hand... there were several families that had been there during the founding, and by that default were superior to all others. They knew everything about you before you even shook their hands. The fake smiles and well wishing which ended abruptly when our backs were turned. The Pastor family that founded/presided at that time was by far the worst. It became a very unwelcoming place and the atmosphere was sickening. I began to dread Sundays.

The 'gossip over gospel' mentality back then was what ultimately made me turn away from church all together. I truly hope that time and people leaving the congregation has opened some eyes to what the problems really are, because this place could easily be the best church in Enfield. Hands down.

I live in Enfield and attended this church for 18 years of my Christian walk. If you are looking for a church that teaches bible based truths this is the one. Even though I attend another church of the same doctrinal faith. In my personal opinion, the Apostolic Church of Enfield could be compared to a "Bible Bootcamp." You have to be willing to endure in depth study of God's word. This church will help you to be a strong well developed Christian. I'm grateful for the excellent teaching and preaching this church provided for my family and I.

Don't be deceived by the website's talk about Jesus Christ. The pastor says the apostles never knew the name of Jesus and therefore never baptized in Jesus name. He ignores the fact that the apostles wrote the name Jesous in Greek and that the name was written on the cross in Hebrew (Jeshas), Greek (Jesous), and Latin (Jesvs). If you are looking for a Jesus name church, avoid this one.
