Been having issue's with papers being delivered in street or on neighbors driveway n paper being wet. Called company n hard to get ahold of someone then wen did she wasn't very nice. Told her that if paper isn't delivered right 1 more time then going to cancel subscription n all she says is oky bye for now. I have complained more than once bout this n never gets taken care of.

The decline of this once-great local newspaper is evident in every aspect of its existence. Starting with my attempt to reach the local staff with what appears to be the local phone number, the recording states that "the number is wrong,try again", then someone answers from the Philippines--no local contact at all. Virtually all content is through USA Today-style, practically no local news, no birth announcements, wedding announcements, daily news-interest articles, lots of fillers with repeated articles, articles that end when allotted space runs out instead of including all pertinent information. The promo for The Hutchinson News states that it is "award-winning" but that was in the 1950's and 1960's. And if you notice in this "reviews" section, most of the positive comments have to do with truck deliveries and comments from the few employees there who are just hoping that they can still be employed at this skeleton of what once was a fine local newspaper.

Delivered paper rolls. Receiving is from 8 am to 4 pm. Dock is on the west side near the train track and check in at the door next to the dock. There is overnight parking for a couple of trucks. They took 2+ hours to unload each truck. You cannot park in the dock at night as there are outbound shipments and it is FCFS for whoever backs into the dock in the middle of the night.

One can ever reach a person on the phone anymore. If you leave a voicemail, they don't call back.
If you want to place an ad, the recorded voice gives you "Debbie's" number in Salina, which is now the Salina newspaper with a whole other set of confusing options. Left a voicemail on Thursday afternoon. It is now Saturday, and still haven't heard back. You'd think they'd want to make some money... Guess I'll have to go there in person.
The Hutch News is not what it once was since it sold out, pardon the pun.

Friendly people. took 45 mins to deliver rolls. Overnight parking available and there is a Love's stop nearby.

My daughter in-laws' mom works here & i got a tour of the workings of how things get from the computer to the finished paper. Pretty cool.
