Love it for the diverse food items! I find a lint of stores to have limited options in New Haven but this place has many Met types and veggies as well. It is clean and easy to navigate.

I wanted to like this place as its the only operating grocery store in Wooster square right now. Both times I have been sold past due chicken, one had a use by date of October 2024 - that's nearly two months over! A waste of money and my meal, which I had to throw away. I'm lucky I didn't get sick. People should not have to second guess the quality and safety of their meats, especially from a place literally called the Meat King. Not to mention the front door with it's posts in the way, if you're overweight or disabled with a wheelchair, you can't even get in this place, this is an ADA violation.

Don’t buy the Guacamole, watery and tastes synthetic. No package date and no expiry date. The meat here is amazing though!

Any review that claims that the prices and the food is decent must be paid reviews I took my chance by going to the store because I live close by and once again the meat that I purchased was spoiled rotten I noticed that most of the prices increased by $3 the health department really needs to look into this establishment or they might be paying off the health department

Nice store to shop for food . almost a Ferraro's copycat but the price is higher and quality is not up to par.it also you will need a coat to shop there as they never liked to put the heat on in the winter time I don't know how the employees can stand it .

The prices in this market are ridiculous I'm talking about three times higher then other grocery stores. If you shop in here please be careful and look at the expiration dates on all items the majority of the food in the store is expired

You must be careful here especially with the meats. Too many times I’ve wasted money here because the food was expired. This goes for shelf stable foods as well. My dog has also gotten sick after eating chicken that I boiled for her to eat. Cost me a trip to the vet and a trip to the ER for myself. Luckily no one else in the household ate the food. The staff is nice and it looks relatively clean and organized.
