When we first signed up for this service it was great! Friendly rep got us set up, first weeks milk delivery was as expected, to the front door. Fast forward to now, 5 weeks in a row, and no front door service. Milk is left Street side (my house is about 1/4 of a mile from the street. We sent an email and provided an alternate drop off near our garage doors and that lasted all but two weeks. Multiple calls to be told we will talk to the driver and can you confirm your driveway is clear of snow (which it
definitely was and is). Finally, I was forced to cancel because the effort isn't being made to correct the issue. Now I have some 20 glass bottles waiting to get picked up, which i doubt they will. Do better! I'm all for supporting my local small business but this makes it hard.

The products are great, but the customer service and user experience not so much. I had a missed delivery in early January due to a failed payment. After updating my card information, I still had to call customer service because the order was never sent out. I was told they needed to “refresh” my order for it to go through, which seemed like an unnecessary manual step.

Fast-forward to today, and I’ve missed two orders in a row despite being charged for them. Again, I had to reach out to resolve the issue, and it’s frustrating that there was no automated notification or an option for a second delivery date. Without my intervention, this problem likely would have continued unnoticed.

I suggested that the Modern Milkman team improve their system to enhance ease of use—whether through automated alerts, proactive notifications for payment issues, or better handling of failed deliveries. Offering affected customers a discount or credit could also help rebuild trust.

While I appreciate their focus on supporting local farmers and sustainability, these values are undermined by the inability to maintain a seamless and reliable customer experience. Relying on quick refunds without resolving underlying issues doesn’t reflect a commitment to building long-term client relationships

The concept is a good one and our delivery was pretty seamless. Items stayed cold. But the products themselves are quite disappointing. Few actual "local" or "farm" products. My biggest issue is that the strawberry milk has Red 40 in it. If I want items with dyes I can just shop at the grocery store . . . where I could find many of their products. A couple of my repeat items were also subbed out without a heads up, which isn't ok when you have allergies. We gave it a shot but will be moving on!

I tried this. Products are awesome though pricey but that's to be expected. My issues are thus...the delivery folks couldn't follow directions as of where to leave it. So I accommodated that. But they on the 3rd delivery randomly changed the delivery day. This is an issue because I work. The cooler was not left out because my day was Tuesday not Monday so I had to leave work so my milk wasn't sitting out on the porch for 5 hours. Even with that tiny ice block they throw in, not going to cut it. They mention on the website that you can't change delivery days.But then THEY changed it without warning. Then trying to contact them took 3 days. Sitting on hold forever until they send you to voicemail. Emailed back after 3 days. No way to completely stop all deliveries until they feel like getting back to you? No way to shut it all down on your own? Nope. Unfortunately this experience was enough to show there will be more issues down the line so I'd rather not.

Thought this was a great idea at first. Small local businesses selling local dairy and food to be delivered right to your door. We placed our order, and didn't go shopping, expecting our delivery on Thursday. Thursday came, but the delivery didn't. I checked my email and it said we got our delivery at 7:47 AM.
We did not. We had a light snow fall the night before, and there were no footprints or tire tracks on my property. Now here's the kicker. When you call customer service, you get redirected to the Philippines! Why would a small local business need a call center in the Philippines? After arguing with the woman on the phone for awhile, she kept persisting that I did get my order. I told her I wanted my money back. She said she could only give me credit. I demanded my money back because I refuse to pay for nothing. She then said, "Well sir, we don't know if you got your order and are just trying to steal the products...
That was it. I demanded to talk to someone in the US. She said all she could fo is take a message. Later that day, after going grocery shopping for the items I didn't receive, I posted on my town web site how discouraging this ordeal was. Another person posted that they ordered over $100.00 in items, and only received 3 items. That evening I got a phone call from a neighbor around the corner, not even on my street! He said he read my post, and thinks my package was by his backdoor.
I went over the next morning and it was my delivery, at the wrong house on the wrong street! Now I have double the dairy products I need. The whole thing turned into a fiasco which is not worth the trouble. Never again...

I had a hard time with customer service. I canceled because my last order was never delivered (I believe it went to the wrong address based on the pin), and after 6 weeks the customer service team has not followed up to refund, despite multiple follow ups. I ended up disputing the charge. Also, was told the wrong info when I signed up with a door to door person (who told me the milk was pasture raised and organic, of which it is neither).

Last week was my first week with my Modern Milkman delivery and can honestly say that straight off the farm tastes so much better!! I love these locally sourced products and it gets delivered right to your door and you can pick and choose each week what you'd like to order. Every thing was great and I gotta say that chocolate milk was probably the best milk l've ever had.

I will say that I ordered six products and only received five. I was missing my pudding. I emailed the company and received a phone call from my driver within minutes. He apologized that there was no pudding available on his truck, but that he would make it up to me this week. Excellent customer service and I was satisfied with the outcome.
