I talked to Jade around the same time as another carpenter in the area about building a custom table top to go on a pedestal base I had previously purchased on Etsy. The other carpenter was sourcing her wood from tobacco barns in South Windsor, and since I grew up in S.W. I really wanted that wood. She gave me an estimate and I was about to give her a down payment, then she added on a surprise "white glove delivery" fee. If I remember correctly, it was over $100. OK, not sure why that wasn't mentioned up front? Meanwhile, Jade who had been busy with other work freed up, so I decided to work with her. I loved working with her! She's a nice person as well as a hardworking and ethical professional. And what a craftsperson! I am very happy with the final product. P.S. There was no extra delivery or set-up fee! She picked up the pedestal base at the beginning of the project and came back with the finished table at the end. I will absolutely work with Jade and The Rusty Wood Company again.

Jade is absolutely amazing! Our family home was in need of an update in our great room. We had an unfinished post in the middle of the room and we were tired of staring at it. Instead of replacing it with a solid beam we decided to go a different route. Jade brought our vision to life by wrapping the existing post and faux beam that was already there with a new more rustic looking faux beam and we couldn’t be happier. Jade came by did some measuring and a few days later came back with the material and it was completed same day! I can’t wait to find a new project for her to work on around our home.

Love the Rusty Wood company! The owner, Jade Michaels is super creative, lovely to work with, and does beautiful quality work from wood and metal coffee tables, to entire structural builds and redesigns. Great work ethic, excellent carpentry work. Check for store hours in the wintertime. Highly recommend!!
