Great location, close driving distance to National Parks (Sequoia/Kings Canyon). Clean facilities & helpful staff also gave military discount. Also close proximity to the conveniences of Three River local businesses. Only issue we had was the 15 amp did not work on our site..nevertheless would definitely stay again.

Though Three Rivers Hideaway is easy to find and has a great location along the river, our experience left us feeling that it doesn't belong on the "must visit again" list. Here’s why:

First, we made a glamping reservation for four hookup sites, with the understanding that they would all be located next to each other. However, when we arrived, our group was split into two, with a large RV in between us. We were told that the RV needed 50-amp service and that it had made its reservation much earlier than ours. But if this was the case, why promise something you can’t deliver? It was frustrating to be split up, especially when we had specifically booked our sites to be together.

Second, the facility advertises a military discount. When the camp host was informed that all four families in our group were military, she seemed visibly agitated and annoyed by the need to process the discounts. It felt uncomfortable and unwelcoming, especially when we were just trying to take advantage of an advertised perk.

Third, while the camp host had initially granted us a late check-out, we were unexpectedly told on the day of our departure that we needed to leave by the standard check-out time. To make matters worse, they turned off our water pressure before we had a chance to fully clean out our gray and black tanks. This was an unnecessary inconvenience and felt disrespectful.

Overall, we didn't mind the small sites or the fact that their cable TV was out of commission. But the poor service and lack of follow-through on promises is simply unacceptable. It’s a shame, because with a bit more attention to customer care, this place could be so much better.

Great place and location!
We camped here with our van for a night before entering the Sequoia NP. The stuff is really nice and helpful.
There is a clean restrooms and showers for free and are open all day and night. Very comfortable.
The river is accessible from the campground!

Excellent Location. This RV Park is located just under 4 miles from the entrance to Sequoia. The park is a bit older, but serves the purpose just fine. Most of it is a gravel roadway and RV sites. Staff were friendly and helpful. We would definitely stay here again when visiting Sequoia. You can access the river at the end of the campground. We were here in summer and during the week and the lines at the entrance station were 10 minutes or less; even then stay to the right lane if you have a pass to get waved through. If you're going into Sequoia on the weekends, you should get there before 9 am.

Stayed at this campground while visiting Sequoia NP. While the sites are level, they are very narrow. That didn't bother us once we got situated in our site. We enjoyed the deer and turkeys walking through camp every evening.
Super convenient location to the National Park and to town for food and drinks.
Recommend a stay at Hideway if in the area.

My brother and I stayed 2 nights here in our rooftop tent while visiting Sequoia National Park. I have never experienced so much kindness from a campground host ever! She was the best. I think her name was Diana or Dionna (not too sure). The bathrooms were clean, with showers as well. They sell ice, and have a drink fridge in the office. They have an area to do laundry, and a beach near the river to swim and fish. It’s close to the town if you want to take the more tourist route as well, with shops and restaurants. I highly recommend staying here! Had a blast.

Used this place for RV for 2 nights.

- Freezer completely defrosted and it was working perfectly fine for the past 3 weeks at over 15+ RV sites and on the road. Hoping we don’t get sick from our freshly stocked fridge and freezer having a bunch of spoiled perishables as a result of the bad power At this place.

- Impossible to dump at your site unless you have a really long hose. Dumped on the way out.

- 1 washer and 1 dryer, $2.00 each. Did not use. Looked old and dirty.

- 2 shower rooms. One had hooks for towels (middle door), one did not.
5 stars for water pressure, but know that the hot and cold indicators are flipped on the nozzles. Crank that “cold” water on full blast in the shower room w/hooks (middle door) and you’ll have a hot shower.
0 stars for shower curtain sticking to you at all times.

- Bear-safe dumpsters were ridiculously heavy to try to open to throw dog poop in. Rusty metal chicken wjre(?) sticking out on one side.

Biggest plus was being only 10 min from the park entrance, but if you can stay anywhere else, I would.

Clean, quiet and pretty empty if you rent camp, gorgeous sunrises and sunsets, love seeing the stars at night, and absolutely gorgeous river access on a hot summer day. Clean and modern shower and bathroom facilities, just gets really hot in the shower in the summer so you start sweating the moment you step out of the cold shower but it is what it is.
