Old school drive in FTW! I don't think this place has changed in 50 years. Cute little place that serves the only "beefburgers" I can find anywhere!

I pulled off the highway to try lunch at a well established sit-down eatery, but saw many cars parked at this, "old-school walk-up-window to order burgers, fries, and ice cream" and couldn't resist the pull of nostalgia. As I ordered my cheeseburger and ice tea talking thru the mosquito screen, I saw the fry cook working his magic on the flat grill. The delectable smells were killing me. It was after 1pm on a unseasonably hot Fall day, but there were 10 or 12 customers picking up sacks of burgers and ice cream treats. The exterior of the tiny building is painted with fun images of their offerings, a couple round tables with umbrellas and 5 big easy chairs under a mighty oak tree. I sat on a big chair in the shade. The Kansas wind rippled over me, as I listened to the birds, watched the people come and go, and smelled those burgers and fries cooking. They gave me a round device to beep when my order was ready - a big upgrade for a walk-up joint. When I took my first bite, I knew I was gonna have to find reasons to drive by this town again. PERFECT BURGER! Excellent meat. Seasoned. No grease. Loaded with taste and substance. The ice tea was as if a farm wife made it fresh. 10/10

Tri-Mee is a small, walk up style restaurant, that has been serving burgers and fries to the locals for many years. I had the Wednesday special burger and curly fries. The burger was good, basic yet filling not bad for only setting you back two dollars. The curly fries were fairly plain, there was a pinch of salt yet not my favorite. Next time I will try the spicy curly fries. The drinks are reasonable however to me they tasted like the food the restaurant was cooking. Service was prompt and there were a bunch of people that ordered while I was there. Friendly employees made it worth the stop.

Ate here for lunch the burger was DELICIOUS 😋,
Decided to go back for supper and the CB was slathered in so much mayo and pickle juice it was not eatible, opened it up and it had 7 pickles on this little burger. If I wasn't on the road I'd went back and showed you. Wow!! It was like night n day. But I will return again and see if it's as good as it was on my lunchtime visit!

The value for money is insane! Found this place after reading a story about the best hole in the walls in each state. Tri-Mee definitely earned that title for the state Kansas!

Best food ever. Its like 1968 again. Low prices and hot food served fast. No frills...just great carry out food.
