Was a great company until the new company took over. We finally switched to a different gas company two months ago and Uncas still hasn’t picked up their tanks. And for the last few weeks, no one answers the phone or returns messages. Extremely frustrating. I just want these tanks picked up and my money refunded.

Had Ray and John come out to my home to connect propane to my propane stove on fireplace hearth. They called me when on the way over and when completed gave me instruction on how to operate. They checked everything for any leaks and made me feel assured the stove worked well. Appreciate their friendly and great service.

Completely disappointed with the way that Uncas Gas handled this last fill up. We’ve been a customer for the last 5 years and ever since they had a change in policy this past summer, their delivery and customer service is awful. I called on a Friday with enough propane in my tank to last me through the weekend. I called early due to the holiday week. When I called on Dec 24, they informed me that even though my tank my low, they had not assigned a driver yet. I was told in previous fill ups, that it takes 2 business days to fill. This week, I was told it takes 5 business days. The people I spoke to were not only rude but didn’t seem to care if my pipes froze. Only when I told them I would sue them because I came home to my tank on one gallon and two if my heating zones not working, did they send someone out within the hour to fill up my tank. Already have a different company coming next week so we don’t have to deal with this mess. Also. I was told multiple times that the manager, Pam, would call me back. Still haven’t heard back from her, even after leaving a message.

We have been on automatic deliveries for over 10 years. They guarantee customers to never run out with auto-deliveries. We’ve never had any issues up until two weeks ago when we did run out. Turns out we were one family out of many with the same problem. This company was all over the news. They blamed it on being short staffed, illness etc. I think many people would be understanding if the company communicated with the customers and gave them a heads up. Try to make it right by offering other options etc. Customers would be more willing to return if this were the case. Unfortunately it’s not. This company needs to work on their communication and customer service. Learn to value customers if you plan on starting in business

I have been a customer with them for at least 10 years. About two weeks ago I called asking for a delivery with my tank at about 40%. I’ve now called on three more occasions over that period of time, leaving messages each time. No one has gotten back to me and my tank is now closer to 20%. They Have provided good service in the past, but it does seem that everything has gone downhill since they were acquired. UPDATE 1/17/25: They delivered propane today and responded professionally to my frustrated Google review, but they certainly do need to address the situation with their front office's inability to respond to customers. Again, they have been prompt and professional for over 10 years, but I'll give them one opportunity to get their act together.

So thankful to Marissa (CSR) and Warren (Driver). We were in a dire situation, being new parents we completely got sidetracked with the craziness that is life now and we failed to keep an eye on our tanks, running them completely empty.

Marissa handled my situation with kindness and complete professionalism. She told me it may take her most of the day but that she would get back to me by the end of the day and provide me an update.

She kept her word, called me at 4:15PM and gave me the news that she would have a driver out within an hour and a half.

Warren then called me 3 minutes later, informing me he was coming directly to me instead of his next stops as he knew we had a baby in the house. He arrived within 15 minutes, provided courteous and efficient service, and has back up and feeling the heat in no time.

The best part is Marissa spoke with her manager and was able to save us a lot of money that any other company would have taken advantage of and charged me.

I can't thank the company enough, and the individual efforts of Marissa and Warren for helping my family and I out as fast as they could, and understanding we made a mistake with everything we had overwhelming us in life.

It's nice to see a company put their customers needs first before their profits, and provide exceptional service. Thank you Uncas Gas!

Terrible customer service. I had them for about 5 years and this year has been absolutely unacceptable. I have almost ran out of propane on two separate occasions and literally had to beg for a delivery when I'm on auto delivery. I finally had enough, especially after reading posts in other community groups of people running out on auto delivery, including someone who reported they were housing their elderly neighbor and her pet because the poor woman ran out of propane and was freezing for nearly 2 days. Uncas had the bulk of the propane business in the community where I live and every day I see other providers coming in here and unhooking their tanks because people are fed up. Two of my close neighbors were on auto delivery and ran out and didn't get a delivery until 2 days after they ran out. Are you kidding me, IT'S WINTER! Nobody wants to hear about your new system issues or driver shortages when they are freezing to death, just glad I made the switch when I did to another supplier. They better not even THINK about trying to charge me a pickup fee, I never would have switched had they kept up their end of the bargain and delivered propane when they were supposed to, so they forced my hand. On top of that I notified them to pick up their tank in mid-January and it's still sitting here, the next call will be to the fire department for an abandoned tank if they don't pick it up within the time dictated by Connecticut law. Absolutely outrageous.

People and employees in this company are very helpful and friendly. One time this person from Uncas Gas even though she’s off the clock still responded my call just to let me know that my order is in the process-(not to worry) What a super job greatly appreciated!!!! Well done.
