A five-year old's paradise! Water is cool, not cold in August. Very rocky and shallow. Water shoes are a great choice. All the kids were wearing life jackets. Very pleasant for paddle boarding. Plentiful polliwogs to chase. Portapotties. Not much shade, umbrellas would be good. $10 fee area. The road down is rocky and bumpy. Coming back up was Mr. Toad's Wild Ride!

Most beautiful place I’ve ever been to paddle board. Water is so clear he can see straight down to the bottom and the mountains are just stunning. Make reservations if you’re going on the weekend during the summer.

Gorgeous spot to swim, kayak or paddleboard! Some nice trees that offer shade along the water! Will definitely come back again.

If you’re looking for a beachy area to bbq, you have to come early. Limited parking. I did see boat in camp spots too.

Just fyi…No dogs allowed here.

Make sure you reserve online for this lake otherwise no entry. We drove 3 hrs just to get turned away and they just started reservations July 27th less than a week ago. Spoke with ranger/officer and she was very rude about me asking if I can make same day reservation since I drive from far away. They directed us to other locations that were unsafe with warning signs saying 3 people have died don't be next.

This goes out to all the Karen's who have never left the streets of Rocklin that wrote one star reviews.

This is my first time to come to upper Lake Clementine. It is a $10 entry fee at the ranger station. No, the road is not paved. Don't try to get here in your Corvette but your stock Toyota Corolla will do just fine. It is what you would expect to dirt road down into a valley to be. Steep and a little bumpy. Keep it in first gear and don't ride your brakes.

There are several porta potties and a good amount of parking. I got here at 11:30 on a Friday so I'm sure there are more people on the weekend than what we experienced.

It is a rock beach without a lot of shade. Don't expect to lay out on your blanket.
The water is beautifully clear. It is calm and at the beginning of September, it was a very nice temperature.

The dog was very sad when we told her she couldn't go to the lake because they don't allow them here.

We went here June 29, 2017 for the first time ever to do some kayak fishing and it was an amazing lake. The water was so clear and beautiful. There were a few fish running down the lake. We parked at Upper Lake and kayaked down to lower lake boat launch. The water was warm...ok it was warm enough since it was like 101 degrees that day. Wonderful place to visit. it does get packed so come early and be careful coming down the steep dirt crazy road full of bumps...

A great breath taking spot to bring your family and kids. This is the second year in a row my family and I visited this spot and it's worth the hour and a half drive.
A few things to know before coming here. The entry gate opens I believe 8:00am and they start closing at roughly 6:30pm and thats when park employees begin to let everyone know that it's about that time to wrap it up. At the entry there is a $10 fee you need to pay to get in (theres no other way around it). Remember that we are up hill when we enter and will need to drive downhill for about 10 minutes or so to get to the parking area. Please make sure you drive slow and carefull because there has been situations where sharp rocks were on the dirt road and people have gotten flats tires so do be carefull. As for the parking area, SPACE IS LIMITED. Once the park employees see that there is no more parking they will close the gate until people start leaving little by little so you'll have 2 options, go somewhere else or wait in line. I've heard people waiting to come in after it was full for about an hour so if you want in, do come early. No Dogs are allowed there at all (Sorry dog lovers). NO ALCOHOL and NO BARBECUEING as well (Employees are constantly walking around). There are garbage cans there but its also a good idea to bring your own trashbags. Porta Potty's are also available.

This is a great breath taking spot to bring your family and kids. This is the second year in a row my family and I visited this spot nice and early and it's worth the hour and a half drive. The water is warm, almost crystal clear and it's very shallow for kids to enjoy. There is a deep part of the river which is the furthes side. There is a really light current but nothing too dangerous to where kids can't manage it. It is a very calm current. Do bring water shoes because both inside the river and out is all rocks and it will get uncomfortable for the kids especially. Where visitors get settled, there is no shade so it is recommended to bring a cannopy of some kind. I will definately continue to bring my faily here every summer.
