Van Schaik remodeled our three bathrooms. This was about a 7-month effort--delays from discontinued tile, supplier deliveries, and schedule conflicts. Overall, good experience. Tough decision to not give 5 stars.

Van Schaik was our third estimate--the highest of our three estimates, and the second of two USAA recommended contractors. The first USAA contractor was disappointing. Van Schaik was a breath of fresh air. Project Leader, Ethan Graham, was personable and eager to help us add value to our home.

The first two estimates were given from contractors we met at the Florida Home Show. Meeting and discussing our desires with Ethan made Van Schaik our preferred choice in spite of the additional cost. Ethan was engaging and provided his expert recommendations--we had a lot of questions. He was accommodating in his scheduling with us while we were faced with a health issue after accepting his estimate. Once work started, Andrew, Taylor, and Matthew (the Van Schaik "ATM" work crew) were a pleasure. They were punctual, polite, personable, and considerate throughout the entire project and quick to respond to ALL of my questions and requests. They had a "Tracking" and "Roger that" work attitude for addressing concerns that I pointed out to them and Ethan. Ethan juggled multiple projects to fit work time in for us because of our unstable schedule. On-site customer service was tremendous! So, why not 5 stars?

Van Schaik was better than a three star "okay" rating. Some of the concerns I pointed out were obvious to my untrained eyes prior to using the bathrooms. Ethan offered to redo all of my concerns. Some were redone and I suggested workarounds on some concerns to mask blemishes and avoid more teardowns. The workers covered much of the work area floors when work started. The first two-bathroom floors did not get covered. I provided cardboard for the floor after the tile workers finished their first day of work. All floor covering was removed when workers determined that the project was complete. Ethan said workers would clean up. They wrapped up the master bath twice for completion but had to return after I got home and inspected. I pointed out my concerns to Ethan and he had workers return to fix my concerns. When they came back, the formerly covered floors got dirty. ATM did some cleaning, but our floors required scrubbing. I attempted to get our floors and grout back to how they previously looked using a cleaner that one of the installers recommended. We also had to clean the new master bath floor to get it to look like it did after it was installed. Once I started using the master bath, I noticed some minor things that I will mention to Ethan.

Overall, this was a good experience. Trustworthy workers—we had no concerns with them working while we were gone. I miss them--great conversations about the project and life. All the best and thank you to Ethan and the ATM crew!

Hired Van Schiak Construction for a master closet/laundry room/home office remodel. Professional group of gentlemen. Always on time, clean, and respectful. Positive experience top to bottom. Any concerns or questions were always addressed - never felt like they wanted to take the cheap, lazy route. Without hesitation this is my go to contractor for all future projects.

Van Schaik Construction recently did an update in my parent's Guest Bathroom to accommodate my father's health condition. They came early, was responsive to their needs, then went back out and got the much needed shower curtain rod. My father is now smiling at the opportunity for safer morning ADLs. I recently had my kitchen remodeled by Van Schaik Construction. I can't express how pleased I am with the job they did. I was kept up to date on the progress and time frames every step of the way. They were available with any questions I had during the entire process. Workmanship and professionalism were outstanding! I definitely recommend using their services!

Great group of professionals. Originally hired them to do exterior painting of my house through Contractor Connection, and ended up getting their assistance to also do a number of other general contracting items (replace bathroom fans and light fixtures, replace the garage door opener, replace kitchen sink and faucet, replace exterior light fixtures) to help me get my house on the market and sold. They got everything done in a fraction of the time it would have taken me to do or for me to piecemeal the work out to others. Also everything was in done at a reasonable price. Paint job on the house made it look like new, the neighbors have raved about how good it looks, and my house sold within 4 days. Glad I used them as some of the jobs required more expertise than I had. They were a blessing to find and easy to work with. I have recommended them to a few friends already.

Had a couple cracked windows in our office. The guys came out Had them replaced in no time. They did an awesome job. Would recommend to anyone needing any windows replaced.

We have used Van Schaik three times. Two homes we purchased were completely remodeled (kitchen, bath, flooring, painting inside, replace all lights, doors and fans, remove many interior walls). One home in Lutz in 2014 and our current home in Clearwater 2016. We had him do work for my parents (hang TV's and add shelving) as well. Chris goes way above and beyond expectations, highly professional. We highly recommend.

I can't speak about their construction skills but they're driving skills absolutely suck! They weave in and out of traffic going up the Suncoast in the afternoon cutting everybody off! Next time I see him I will pit maneuver them right into the ditch
