Viking designed/engineered my 38x42 shop with 2 16' roll-ups and a side door. It is incredibly well built and very beefy. I am very proud to be the owner of this new shop. The price was on the lower of my different quotes, so l was a little worried it might not be that good of a building. It is indeed better than my expectations

From start to finish, my experience with Viking Manufacturing was exceptional. Horrible Experience, VERY unhappy! I feel every 5 star for Viking was written too early in their process. Trust me, just wait until you pay your 2nd progress payment communication stops, Vikings business line turns to an answering service and no one returns your calls. The one time out of 5 calls someone answers they have no clue how to answer your questions about your building or the process. Let me start over. I purchased a 50x60 metal building in April 2024. Fabrication delay, communication delay, why does my inventory sheet show im missing a roll up door delay, finally a delay after I was given a delivery date. All delays were not communicated with me. I had to find these out myself. Again no one answers or calls back. Rental charges exceeded budget and sat not being used. By the way that is not explained to you upfront. That's $6k in rentals you'll need to have if your planning on DiY or pro install. Either way their installers do not have their own machines. I've spent over $100,000 on this building and process and I'm treated as if it's no big deal.

Finally excited to have the building arrive (September 2024) yes 5 months later. It arrived with numerous parts missing. Major parts to include roll up door, main frame support brackets, clips, secondary supports for door, purlins, and girts. You guessed it Im on week 2 without communication of when or how to get these parts. Yes already extended the rentals of the machines. I even had to go to a local machine shop in Madera to have 150 brackets and clips made that were missing from my order. (This total cost $1671.00) To end this I'm going into the 6th month now and the building can't be finished without the parts that they don't care to help with. I'm close to $8000 in rentals from Sunbelt, and have purchased over $2000 worth of metal that should have been sent in my package. No resolution and over 15 emails and equal phone calls. They do not care once their payed. Either they are paying for reviews or I hope all the 5 star folks return to adjust their reviews to be more honest. I will make sure no one I know buys a building from them. Terribly unhappy, and vastly over budget, and at 6 months I have no way to enjoy the building. If Viking makes these shortcomings right I will update this review. I'll just start offering metal parts that did arrive for sale to help others I guess.

I am so disappointed to write this review. I had really high hopes when I started working with Viking. It was important to me that I selected a local company and their process seemed very straight forward and easy. However, after being told it would be 2-3 months for my order to be ready (which I found very reasonable), here I am in January still without our building that was ordered in August. I can understand delays, but that is not actually my issue. Our building was delivered. The issue is it is NOT the building I had designed with Viking. I selected a gray building with a black roof, so it would match the others on our property. What was shipped to me is a cream building with a rustic red roof.

When we noticed the error on December 26th, we quickly reached out and confirmed the colors were not correct. Viking agreed that they saw my actual selections in their system, and told me they were going to work on a solution. I knew with the holidays, it may be a bit delayed. Both Viking and I agreed that painting the building would be the quickest resolution and prevent any more waste and delay. We came to this agreement at the first week of January. Now, two weeks later I still have building parts laying around my property with no resolution in sight. I am constantly told to "hold on while they finalize the details" without any details actually being shared with me. There is no plan for moving forward and I am left with a building that is paid for in full (per their contract,) that is nowhere close to the design I selected.

I have made multiple attempts to lock down that plan to paint, but their unwillingness to provide written documentation stating I will not incur any further costs associated with correcting THEIR mistake, leads me to believe they will not be making this right. It shouldn't be that difficult and should not take this many days to rectify the situation. I have been more than reasonable, but after my last communication, I have no hope that Viking will step up and willingly correct the issue they caused. I provided all necessary information, paid for my order, and did not receive what was promised. Instead, all I have is voicemails and emails telling me to continue waiting.

I wish I had checked the BBB and I would have seen Viking has an F rating with 7 complaints. Hopefully, this review will prevent others from finding themselves in a similar situation. Judging by the recent 1 star reviews that are coming in from the last 6 months, it is clear that Viking has a major issue within their company and sadly, it is the customers that are suffering.

I wish I could share good news about our experience, but unfortunately, after two months of being told "we will get back to you with a completion date," we’re still stuck in a frustrating cycle of delays. Delivery dates have been pushed back four times—initially set for 11/17, then moved to 11/5, followed by 11/25, and now, as of today, 12/5. Each time, we've had to reschedule a forklift for delivery, and despite repeated inquiries, we’ve received no clear answers for the delays. The lack of transparency and accountability is deeply disappointing.

If anyone would like to see the correspondence, I’m more than willing to share what kind of customer service you can expect from Viking. Refer back to my initial review from October for context. We had such high hopes for this company—the sales and design process was exceptional—but the timeline and communication since then have been nothing short of a nightmare. We’ve been waiting since April for a building that was promised in 2–3 months, and here we are, nearly 7 months later, with little to no proactive communication.

As a contractor, I understand fabrication delays, but this level of mismanagement and misinformation is unacceptable. We paid in full two months ago, with the promise of delivery within 4 weeks. It has now been nearly 9 weeks. I can only hope that the quality of the building (should we eventually receive it) surpasses the dismal customer service we’ve experienced.

Viking Manufacturing delivered exactly what I needed for my metal garage. Perfect size, super sturdy, and looks fantastic. I appreciated the transparency in pricing and their guidance on what would work best for my space.

I chose coffee brown for my building’s color since it looks polished and contemporary. I am rather pleased with the outcome.
