I honestly don’t think this place deserves the 4.7-star rating it has. My visit was quite the letdown, especially considering all the high praise and excitement surrounding it. We opted for the limited edition wine tasting, which was $40 per person—definitely the most expensive option. I went in with high expectations, but unfortunately, none of the five wines I tasted impressed me.

To be completely honest, I couldn’t even finish two of the wines—they were just undrinkable. I ended up tossing them out, something I’ve never done at a tasting before. The others weren’t much better; they tasted like a harsh, sugary fireball shot, and I couldn’t get through them either.

I really wanted to enjoy the experience, especially with the reputation this place has. But for me, the wines just didn’t live up to the hype or the price. I understand taste is subjective, but I left feeling disappointed and, frankly, a bit frustrated.

It’s unfortunate because the location is lovely, and the staff was friendly. But when it comes to the wine, I can’t say I’ll be back or recommend it to anyone.

Some friends made the reservation and it was all our first time there. With the amphitheater being a local attraction, I was not expecting the wines to be so good. They were either good or phenomenal, and we were doing the lower priced tasting too! Our server Lianne was fantastic- informational/educational while also fun. I definitely recommend and will definitely be back. Do note: If you come on a day when the amphitheater has a show, the kitchen closes early and pre-show drinks start at 4pm. They started getting pretty busy shortly after 4:30, so I recommend visiting earlier in the afternoon on show days.

This was our first visit and we wont be back. Our server kept saying they were short staffed and they were over-booked. That isn’t my concern. They have a cozy area for “members only” on one side and everyone else goes on the other side. To get to the bathroom you had to walk through the members only seating. It felt like major segregation & not welcoming at all. The vibe felt “snooty”. Not impressed by wine we tasted. The outside of the tasting room looks nice and they have an amphitheater.

Our Vina Roples wine experience was fantastic. My wife and I had a great time. Beautiful tasting room, and our tasting guide Kevin made our tasting wonderful . Perfect tasting selections, and wonderful snacks--sweet potato hummus--oh my!
Kevin provided factual background and interesting wine info-- more than just the usual info presented as you take your first sip of each glasd. The tasting ended much too soon. Thank you Vina Robles, and a grand thank you to Kevin.

I don't even know where to begin. The service is beyond amazing. The history of the winery is fascinating. The wine ALL THE WINE is amazing. Took home a Rose'. Let's move on to the food. Bruschetta was BOMB...flavors were so tasty. The chicken sandwich with the homemade slaw had me drooling. The portobello mushroom burger with caramelized onions OMG best combination of flavors ever. We will be back again and again and again!

? WOW, just WOW!!! Not sure I can adequately articulate our dining experience. Out of all the incredible meals we’ve had in Paso Robles this week, this was hands-down our absolute favorite! Today for lunch we delighted our senses with a memorable five-course wine & food pairing that was a symphony of flavors and textures that left us both speechless after each bite. This melodious experience was prepared and personally served to us by Head Chef Joshua Jones who provided an explanation with colorful detail what he prepared for the two of us.

If you are looking to have your tastebuds tantalized and a feeling evoked you can’t put your finger on, please visit Vina Robles and request the “Wine & Food Experience” (reservations recommended).

If you're looking for a classy wine tasting experience, look no further. Considering the reasonable pricing, friendly staff, and quality wine...this is a must visit winery for the region. Reservations are recommended, as we've been turned away without one in the past. There's some standup tasting and lots of indoor and outdoor sit-down tasting. There's also some really incredible food options that are worth considering. We watched them serving the cheese and charcuterie board and were really impressed!
