We left this church about 6 months ago, but I’m feeling convicted to share my thoughts and experiences now. We attended the Monument Woodmen campus from the first Sunday it opened for about a year and a half. I will say that we never felt as though we had a community or friends there even though we attended every week and I had volunteered with kids summer camp. That’s not why we left though. We left because we were seeing that Pastor Josh is far too interested in being culturally relevant, woke, and popular. He seems to be more interested in being politically correct than he is in being Biblically correct. One egregious example of a ridiculous statement he made was something along the lines of, “Americans aren’t persecuted for their faith.” If memory serves correctly this statement was made the Sunday immediately following the Covenant School Shooting in which 3 small children and 3 staff members were murdered for their faith.

In case Pastor Josh is reading this— I would like to share another example of this persecution (albeit less severe) and that is the story of Jack Phillips who has been persecuted for years by the state of Colorado for simply exercising his faith. I would encourage you to pray for the strength and bravery to stand for Biblical truth in the way that Jack has, even when it may not be popular.

I am praying for Josh and Woodmen Valley that they may become a strong voice of truth in a world that so desperately needs it.

Pastor Josh teaches a prosperity gospel. If you think the Bible is about health, wealth, and prosperity, you might to read your Bible.

I am a nondenominational Christian and I visited on 5/14/23. I was happy to see a young man getting baptized but it wasn’t done biblically in that it wasn’t done in the name of the Father and the Son and the Holy Spirit. I was also disappointed that the congregation didn’t break bread and share communion together as the early Christians did in the Bible. Also no one said a word to me other than the guy at the door. I enjoyed the sermon it deserved 4 stars.

Music is too loud and no one sings. You have to watch the pastor on big screen. They close the windows so it's dark...Jesus is the light!

My wife and I were super excited when our church started our Monument campus. It is the best of both worlds, with the familiar family feel of the small church coupled with the biblical-based teachings, study groups, and resources of a big church. Pastor Doug and the volunteers and staff will make you feel immediately welcomed and valued, because, in our church, you are. Live worship teams lead songs, and the weekend messages are powerful and relevant and there is always someone to pray and walk with you if needed. Come check us out and see why we are one of the fastest growing churches in the area.

First visit. Good sermon with extensive Bible references, properly applied to the key passage. Good worship music. Friendly congregation. We plan to visit again next week.
