Worst move of my life. Would not recommend them to anyone. Thought I would do myself a favor and hire professional movers to help my family move but it was a complete mess. I’m writing this review almost 1 year later because I have PTSD from this move. Save yourself a nightmare and go with another company. I will be filing an official complaint with the BBB.

All the main points will be rated below.
1. Timeliness/Communication: 0/10. The most unprofessional moving company possibly ever. Arrival time was scheduled for 9am-11am. They did not arrive and start moving until 8pm (after a whole day of calling them). The frustration of waiting close to 12 hours…insane. Because it started at 8pm at night, they did not finish until 2am in the morning. If they try and make up any excuses and say they communicated with me, I can go into much more detail of the exact timeline and the lack of communication throughout the entire day.
2. Responsibility: 0/10. Imagine waiting an entire day (12 hours) for movers to arrive and they finally show up at 8pm. But it’s not even Walter or his workers! The people who showed up said they’re subcontractors under another company. Complete strangers, who did I just invite into my home?
3. Integrity: 0/10. To take this further, imagine complete strangers coming into your home and telling you their rate is NOT the same rate that Walter quoted you via the contract. Yes, their rate was much higher! I will agree that my house ended up having more furniture to move than expected, but having an original estimated quote from Walter and then ended up paying $1.2k+ IN CASH at 2am (to these strangers) for the whole move was so unexpected. I literally ran to Liberty Bank ATM in the middle of the night.
4. Quality: 3/10. The movers were nice and hardworking people, but only 1 of the guys had any true moving experience. The rest of the guys were just high school teenagers who were able to lift things but had zero knowledge how to assemble or disassemble furniture items. I feel like it’s a requirement for a professional mover to have this knowledge to avoid maneuvering big items around narrow staircases and such. (The maneuvering took up a LOT of time, which is why I bring this up.)
5. Cleanliness: 3/10. I can post pictures if needed, but my white mattresses were stained black in between Point A to Point B. Maybe they were sliding it around the truck and the truck bed is dirty, as they did not wrap or cover the mattresses at all. I was talking to my friends after and they said other moving companies had actually wrapped up the mattresses to avoid issues like this. Not sure the norm.
I would also like to mention more issues that occurred, including:
- The movers broke the screen door. It happened because they were trying to fit big furniture items in the door without disassembling the big furniture items. Initially when I pointed out that the screen door doesn’t work anymore, their initial response was to deny it was their fault…which definitely speaks to their integrity.
- Scratches everywhere because again, the big furniture items were not disassembled and trying to maneuver around tighter doorways/staircases will cause scratches.
- Ripped sofa after the move. I’m not sure if we ever even filed a claim because I really didn’t want to deal with this company anymore.

Probably so much more to say, but yes I ended up paying all the guys who helped me move and still tipped generously. However, this move was a nightmare and overall complete disappointment. Walter, the owner, was unsupportive, nevermind the fact that his company didn’t even show up. I will be filing a complaint and will tell my entire network to avoid this company at all costs. I went home and cried after this move, who knew hiring professional movers would be so stressful?

We would not recommend Workaholics Express moving company. Although Walter is very friendly, I found the scheduling process disorganized and in the end, unreliable. They did not show up for our move which I had confirmed on 2 occasions. I called several times that day and never received a return call. If you’re looking for movers, go with a different company.

I truly had the best moving experience with Workaholics Express. I lived in a one bedroom apartment and was moving 30 miles away. I called 6 other places for quotes and all of them were north of $700 with one being $950 which is outrageous! I’m so thankful I found this moving company because they gave me a more realistic, practical quote and the service they provided was above and beyond! They came and moved all of my furniture with care. They also helped me move additional items in my new place, took apart the fridge and helped move it to a different room! Thank you again!

Highly recommend hiring Workaholic Express. Walter and his team are responsive, and timely; they did a fantastic job packing our belongings into the truck and safely transporting them to the new house quickly and at a reasonable rate. Would not hesitate to hire them again.

Absolutely loved working with Walter. He is a very understanding, outgoing, honest and hard working man and he takes his job seriously. I had a VERY small move and Walter’s business was the only moving company that I reached out to that gave me a very reasonable quote (all the others were quoting in the $700-$900 range, which I could not do). This was my first time ever hiring a moving company, and I was a little nervous about some of my big things being moved. But Walter and the man helping him were so careful with all of my furniture. They definitely knew what they were doing. Even on a 95+° day, they got my entire move done in less than 2 hours!! It was wonderful being able to support a local business. Highly recommend Workaholic Express for any moves! I will definitely be using them in the future!

Walter and his team did an absolutely amazing job helping me move today. This was my first time hiring movers and I'll be honest I was skeptical because of how low his price is compared to the other quotes I received from larger moving companies (less than half!). They handled my belongings with care, were extremely professional and personable, and truly made moving as easy as ever for me. Will absolutely be using them for future moves and would recommend to everyone.

Walter and Dalton made my move exceptionally easy. Walter was the fastest company to send a quote . It was the best value of the quotes I received, and the service was exemplary. They treated my items with care, while being very efficient with their time. If I ever need to move again (hopefully not for a long time) they will be my first call.

Walter and Dalton did such an incredible job. Walter guaranteed that there would be no change in rates when the job is done and that definitely was the case. I’ve gotten quotes before from other companies and I’ve seen the number change astronomically. My things were wrapped and cared for. Nothing was damaged and they worked quickly. Awesome experience and I highly recommend Workaholic Express!
